Often, when I am in contact with nature, I feel drawn to a particular colour, texture or shape… Images begin to imprint themselves on me. I reflect on them until the need to express them becomes insistent. Then I CREATE. For me, everything begins there. In connection with nature, I create intuitively. I trust this process because nature was doing it long before I was! Over time, as I have lived through my own storms, my relationship with nature has changed. I have become more aware of both my own limitations and those of nature itself. Increasingly, I paint my own versions and visions of nature; these are my inner landscapes. Revealing myself in this way requires both COURAGE and HUMILITY. Throughout this process, my challenge is to free myself from the perfectionist principles deeply rooted within me.
